About Us...

Welcome to Trinity UMC!

We are a group of faith-filled Christians who live in various surrounding communities- Portage, Lake Station, Valparaiso, and Hobart- who gather to worship, fellowship, and share God’s love.

Rooted in a strong faith in God and Bible-based sermons, Trinity UMC continues its tradition of community outreach, helping those less fortunate, and sharing God’s love through caring, kindness, and compassion.

Sunday mornings begin with Adult Sunday

School at 9:30 which meets in Fellowship Hall.

Adults of all life stages and faith levels are welcome. Join us as Mel Monnier leads an engaging Sunday morning study.

Children’s Sunday School also begins at 9:30,

initially gathering in Fellowship Hall before

dispersing. We incorporate a one-room school

house lesson scheme, so all ages are taught together. And all ages are welcome!

A Casual Traditional Worship Service follows

and is held at 10:30am where all are welcome. We describe our Worship as “casual traditional”

because it’s a blended service with a balanced

harmony of contemporary and traditional service

styles sharing meaningful and timely topics as we proclaim the Good News of a loving God.

For those unable to attend in person, our

Worship Services are live-streamed and recorded.

          Go to youtube.com, search for:
