     Greetings, friends!

â€‹I am excited to be here in Hobart and passionate about growing closer to God, more Christ-like, and journeying with others along the way of following Jesus.

I embrace John Wesley's understanding of salvation as life restored to love of God and love of neighbor, particularly valuing his conviction that the things that we do form who we are. This is the method (I am a Method-ist, after all!) for spiritual growth.
I don't believe that we can be truly spiritual apart from a community that supports us, encourages us, holds us accountable, and in which we can practice our spirituality (and find grace for our missteps). However, we also cannot be truly spiritual unless we are fully engaged with the wider world outside the church, not to make the world fit our demands, but to be involved with the world, loving it as God loves it and living in it as witnesses to the transforming power of God’s love. In Acts 2:42-47, such a community is described as being formed by worship, study, mission, justice, fellowship, praise, and joy.
I live in Crown Point with my husband Jim and our adorable, sometimes brilliant dog David. We have one adult son, Jay, who also lives in Crown Point. Jay owns and operates a game and hobby shop in Hobart if you're interested!

Nu Yeer Games (apologies for the plug)
I was born in Hammond, grew up in Merrillville, and have lived in Crown Point over 25 years. The only time I wasn't living in 'The Region' was while my father- a Navy Seal- was on duty. During that time we lived in California and New England before returning home to Northwest Indiana.

Before becoming a pastor, dad and I ran his electrical engineering consulting firm. I served as Controller, a complete misnomer of a title!

I began discerning God's call in 2008 by becoming highly involved in my home church- Crown Point 1st UMC. Trusting in God, I finally took the leap to go into pastoral ministry in 2013 and since have served several churches of the Indiana Conference of the UMC: Munster (Ridge UMC), Hebron (Salem UMC), Knox (Knox UMC), and I'm now serving a 2-point charge in Hobart at Trinity UMC and Michigan Avenue UMC.
